Bush Fire Hazards
If you are concerned about bush fire hazards on your property, or the property adjacent to you, the RFS can provide advice regarding preparing your property against bush fires and what to do in the event of a bush fire. This advice is free and can be arranged by contacting your local Fire Control Centre and speaking with one of their officers.
Fire Control Centres (FCC) are open during normal business hours unless an incident management team is using the centre to coordinate the response to an emergency. The nearest Fire Control Centre for Burra and Urila residents is:
Street address: 10 Ellerton Street, Queanbeyan NSW 2620
Telephone: 6297 1840
Fax: 6297 0068
