If you enjoy a good book then the Burra Book Group is for you.

The group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month (except January) at 7.30 pm at the homes of members. Lively discussions over wine, a cuppa and supper are promised.

Our group is under the auspices of the CAE Book Groups, Melbourne, of which there are over 1,000 groups all over Australia. Books are chosen by each member of the group in October/November for the following year from the CAE catalogue. It is a vast catalogue with new titles being added to it constantly and every genre represented. Educational notes accompany each title. The notes serve as one viewpoint.

Each month the secretary collects the box of books plus notes from the Post Office. The new books are distributed at the meeting to each member and the books just discussed are collected.

Membership costs vary as there are concession rates and full fees, but it covers all costs including postage of books, etc.

Spouses/partners are welcome to participate.
