The Burra Park and Community Hall are located on the Burra Road, approximately 11.62 kms from the Old Cooma Road junction. The Park and associated facilities are managed by a Palerang Council Section 355 Committee, the Burra Management Committee.
Burra Park celebrated its Centenary in 2000. The original land was bequethed to the Burra Community by the original settlers in the area for the purpose of building a community facility.
Since that time, successive generations of Burra and Urila residents have worked together to make improvements to the Park. The Hall was built by the community in the 1970s, and many volunteer hours have gone into improving and extending the facility.
In the early 1990s, the Tennis Pavillion was constructed with funding assistance from the Commonwealth Government. Recent additions to the park include barbecue facilities and a childrens' playground, which are available for locals and visitors to enjoy.
The Burra Hall has recently undergone a kitchen refurbishment and is available for hire by community groups, and for private functions.
